Do Not Be Conformed But Be Transformed

Romans 12:2

Today I was listening to a song by Minister Fred Hammond called “How Do You Love That Way”. It is beautiful to me how Fred articulates his experience of being washed over with GOD’s love. The lyrics of the song illuminated how much more my love has to grow to truly reflect my Heavenly Father’s love. I shared this with one of my brothers in Christ and he remarked that he was so glad to hear that I had been convicted this way, and that it was answered prayer. Now, it is true that I believe every Christian is praying for transformation through the power of the Hoy Spirit into His likeness GOD, after all, that is the work of salvation, but there was something more in this brother’s voice. Something I have heard from many others, and I understand the sentiment.

If you have read much of my writings or heard me teach, I am sure you have registered the judgement in my tone and speech. This air of judgement causes some to be defensive, others to be turned off, and some to even walk away. I have been told that I shouldn’t expect everyman to take the things of GOD as serious as I do because we all have different callings. I have been told I shouldn’t make people feel uncomfortable in their transgressions because Christ didn’t condemn people, and neither should I. I understand these reactions.

Here is also what I understand from the light of the Spirit of GOD. The Lord is doing a work in the Church to bring about purification unto the service and work of the gospel. Purification is a process of cleansing. GOD is now seeking worshippers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. Old things are passed away, we have to make ready for the new. Much more has been given to us therefore much more is being required. GOD Himself has come to the earth in flesh as we are and overcome. After ransoming us by the shedding of His own blood as the lamb of GOD, He has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit from on high to empower us to overcome just as He did. Now, it is immaterial what He did with all the vessels of old, the murderers, fornicators, and idolaters He used before, we have been called as a holy nation and a royal priesthood, ordained to show forth the perfect will of GOD. It is time for the Church to move into the narrative of the New Testament unto the glory of GOD. Old things have passed away. Our Lord doesn’t tell us to walk before Him as men flawed by sin made of flesh. He tells us to be holy as He is holy, and to be perfect even as He is perfect. Why? Is He being unreasonable? Is He just trying to humiliate and frustrate us? Just as Eve was made from a rib of Adam, GOD has made us from His own Spirit. This is what it means to be born again by the Spirit of GOD. This is why He expects to look at us and see Himself. This is the true gospel of Salvation that the wicked one is trying to obscure and distort. All true ministers of GOD are ordained to edify the Church, and to work to perfect Her, so that when She arises to meet Her groom, He will look upon Her as Adam looked upon Eve and recognize Her as a manifestation of His own very essence.

If you are born of GOD, you are not supposed to be comfortable in sin. Once the light identifies the sin in your life you should be grieved and repent. When GOD’s perspective is made manifest then sin is condemned. If you identify with GOD then you condemn the sin as well and repent, however if you identify with the world and its carnal ways, then you resent the judgement of sin and enter condemnation with it. Know this, it is the mercy of GOD to send you light unto repentance that you may be freed. Proverbs 16:6 says,

“By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.”

Men mistake GOD’s grace for acceptance, failing to realize that grace is the opportunity given to receive what He is providing. Grace isn’t an invitation to live broken and deformed in GOD’s presence, it is an invitation to be healed and restored to how He made you in the first place. People don’t understand the fear of the Lord because they don’t know YAHWEH. Because men know food and drink, they do everything they can to make sure they obtain those things to survive. If men knew YAHWEH, they would understand that He is greater than food or drink and that His Word is their life. Then they would seek His word and rejoice when truth comes.

May GOD open your heart and your ears to hear the truth of these two prophecies which confirm what I am saying. These prophecies deal with this generation after the coming of the Christ and the outpouring of GOD’s Holy Spirit.

1The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.

10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

(Isaiah 61 KJV)

16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.

17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

(Malachi 3:16-18 KJV)
