The path to life is designed by GOD to manifest what is in a man’s heart. The scriptures call it the Lord trying the reigns of the heart. The heart reveals what people truly treasure. There are steep and narrow places on the journey to life by GOD’s design. When these conditions are encountered on the path, the only way forward is by leaving some things behind. When those who treasure the Lord with ALL their heart get to these tough places in their journey, they prioritize holding onto GOD and release everything else to stay on the path. Those who still treasure the things of this world and their present life, take the detour paved by the evil deceiver. In the end, everyone is surrounded by what they treasured the most. Those who treasured heavenly things are surrounded by His Kingdom. Those who treasured earthly the things are surrounded by darkness because all the things of this world expire and pass away.
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV)
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. (2 Timothy 2:11-13 KJV)
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. (Matthew 16:25 NKJV)
