Exposing the Spirit of Antichrist

The scripture says as many as are led by the Spirit of GOD are the sons (children) of GOD. Of all the influences around us, nothing should be more influential on us than the Spirit of GOD. Many Christians quote 1st John 4, where he says, “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in this world.” John is speaking here about the Spirit of Truth from GOD being more powerful than the spirit of Antichrist. The spirit of Antichrist denies the testimony of YESHUA HAMASHIACH, the anointed Messiah and Savior of the world. Generally, when people think of Antichrist, they think devil worshipers, atheist, witches, and groups commonly associated with the occult. The prefix “anti-” means against. To be Antichrist means to be against Christ. To understand what it means to be against Christ you must first understand what Christ is for. Here are His own words.

17 The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written,

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (the Messiah),
Because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to announce release (pardon, forgiveness) to the captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,

To set free those who are oppressed (downtrodden, bruised, crushed by tragedy),

19 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the favor of God abound greatly].”

20 Then He rolled up the scroll [having stopped in the middle of the verse], gave it back to the attendant and sat down [to teach]; and the eyes of all those in the synagogue were [attentively] fixed on Him. 21 He began speaking to them: “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing and in your presence.” (Luke 14:17-21 AMP)

If you really take a look at what Christ is for, then those that more closely fit the profile of Antichrist are those oppressing the poor and putting blockers before them, and those deploying mechanisms of mass incarceration focused on the downtrodden, bruised, and crushed of this world, and those creating blindness by disinformation and the hiding of truth. The patches of pagans, wizards, and witches scattered about the earth are rebels too, but the stronghold of the Antichrist is the spiritual wickedness in places of power. When you consider what I have put forth and the many social issues we are faced with today, you can clearly see the influence of the spirit of Antichrist close to home, in governments, in churches, in families, and maybe in your own viewpoints. The bible identifies Satan as subtle and cunning. The light of Truth, shed by the knowledge of Christ, exposes the lies and deception pouring forth from the wicked influencer. Spreading the Truth, which pierces the darkness of lies and deception, opens the eyes of those captive to darkness.

Truth can be disrupting, but it is better to suffer the disruption of truth unto eternal salvation, than to live in the temporary comfort of a delusion unto eternal condemnation. The book of 1st John chapter 4 states that the spirit of Antichrist that was foretold to come into the world was already spreading at its writing. He starts the chapter by telling us not to be gullible but to know the source of what we choose to believe and profess.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” (John 4:1)

I hear people who profess to know Christ often teaching and professing that we do not have a choice other than succumbing to sin because we are yet in the flesh. They don’t realize it, but they have been seduced by the spirit of Antichrist because they are denying the reality of the workings of Christ our Savior, thereby denying His testimony. Here is the message that Christ sent John the Baptist, who started to experience despair before his execution as he waited in prison, concerning the testimony of Christ.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” (Matthew 11:4-6)

Reject the false teachings of the Antichrist, and lay hold on the healing, restoration, and resurrection power that is available Today, for this is the acceptable year of the Lord!
