Insights for My Black Brothers

First, let me say that I realize we are men first created in GOD’s image, and then we have our tribal and national ethnicities. To be more correct, we are men that are Black and not Black men, if you can hear me. I also realize that “Black” is just a man contrived social designation because we are almond, bronze, caramel, chocolate, and yes onyx, just to name a few shades of Africa. I am primarily focusing on those with ancestors from the continent of Africa who have been targeted for and subjected to human trafficking. Those from Africa with a history of being exploited for free labor due to their exceptional strength and endurance.

Here is an excerpt from a letter of secession submitted by the state of Mississippi in the United States:

Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery– the greatest material interest of the world. Its labor supplies the product which constitutes by far the largest and most important portions of commerce of the earth. These products are peculiar to the climate verging on the tropical regions, and by an imperious law of nature, none but the black race can bear exposure to the tropical sun. These products have become necessities of the world, and a blow at slavery is a blow at commerce and civilization. (Source battlefield.org)

In Black communities all over this world there are people with deep wounds of rejection, stunted self-esteem, disfigured self-images, self-hate, shame, and demoralization. YAHWEH created all men in His image not just some men. So, we were all created equal, however through societal decay, men have been inbred with physical and mental illnesses from the trauma of a world created good but turned corrupt. When we see the inequalities and disparities of health, wealth, and opportunity between people of different ethnic backgrounds and nationalities it is a direct result of men not regarding the humanity in one another as equals, nor realizing that we all share a joint existence. It is mental illness. There is not a man alive that doesn’t have a debt of gratitude to pay to woman because without her the earth would not have been populated. However, look at how women are treated all over the world. It is mental illness. When I look at Black men in their own countries and communities killing, robbing, and oppressing one another after the worldwide scourge of the slave trade, I see mental illness.

It is written in the book of holy wisdom we are not to envy those who oppress us, nor are we to learn or assimilate any of their evil ways (Proverbs 3:31). It doesn’t matter what your oppressor looks like because all those who oppress other humans are evil and should be condemned.  I have heard this foolish proverb that says, “if you can’t beat them then join them.” This proverb lacks virtue as well as the strength of faith, courage, and perseverance. I am writing today to illuminate the path to restoring these virtues to all who have become compromised and succumbed to the ways of violence, fear, hate, hopelessness, and incontinence which plagues this world that we live in.

I have good news though today that the Creator sent a remedy for this insanity and healing for all the trauma that is impacting the mind. Take a look at the prophecy below, followed by the fulfillment of the prophecy.

Prophecy

1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” (Isaiah 61:1-3)

Fulfillment

16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” (Luke 4:16-21)

YESHUA descended into the earth to bring healing and restoration by providing a means for us to have our hearts restored and our minds renewed. Christ is able to forgive our sins and give us rebirth through His resurrection power. Christ is able to baptize us with the fire of the Holy Spirit, to relight the candle of our spirit within us that we might see the ways and works of GOD. All we need do is turn from the rebellion of the self-life and surrender to His complete guidance as our Lord and Savior, then the light of truth will roll back the darkness as we open ourselves to the presence of GOD and begin to reap the benefits of His life giving love.  The Spirit of Truth comes into our hearts affirming us as the children of GOD, creating the faith and the courage, and the strength, to persevere until we receive all of His precious gifts and promises. The knowledge of His love breaks the power of hate and severs the root of bitterness. The understanding of His faithfulness gives us hope and encouragement that lifts us above a survival mentality to learning to receive and walk in abundant life.

I am not sharing fables and myths but what I have experienced personally as I received the love of GOD through the gospel of Christ. A love that freed me from fear and unbelief enabling me to change course from following the instincts of the dead to following life after the leading of the Spirit. The validating love of the Father freed me from seeking approval through the ways of this world which has so many in bondage. The ways of this world produce bondage because they only deliver temporal fulfillment and fleeting satisfaction which keeps you in a constant state of seeking and striving to get more to be more. Satan exploits this vulnerable condition by selling humanity the lie that fame, money, and pleasure can fulfill them, but we are all made from GOD’s spirit and only His spirit can fulfill us. So, stop seeking to be in the place of those who oppress and exploit you. Stop seeking their status and treasures. It is vanity. The more of it you consume, the more it consumes you until you are lost.

24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. 25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? 26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels. (Luke 9:24-26 NKJV)

We didn’t give ourselves life in this world, so we need not try and save our own lives now that we are here. Accept GOD’s provision of salvation in Christ through surrendering to Him all that you are, so that He can make you everything you were meant to be. Its time to lay those burdens down.

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV)
