Balancing All with Truth

Only GOD is right about who He is, and only those who align their testimony of Him with His revealed word are bearing true witness of Him. He is faithful and true which means He is consistently the same. The varying ideas circulating about His will and character are due to people continually bringing their own opinions and feelings into the picture of who GOD is. Your ability to clearly see who GOD is, runs parallel to your level of surrender on the cross. The less you rely on your own understanding and intellect to instead submit to the truth revealed by His Spirit, the clearer He comes into view.

“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8)

A pure heart is a heart that has been purified by a renewed mind committed to pleasing GOD above all else, because that is what they believe is more valuable than anything else. That means more valuable than receiving honor from men, more valuable than winning an argument, and more valuable than pleasing themself.

“How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?” (John 5:44 KJV)

The consensus of men and their approval weighs lighter than dust on the scale which GOD holds. God’s word and His Spirit tips the scale we must balance with.

For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That you may be justified in your words, and may overcome when you are judged.” (Romans 3:3-4 NKJV)

It doesn’t matter how many degrees a person has been awarded by man, or how many books they have written, or how large of a congregation they might have, what matters is if they have abandoned to GOD through the cross and been renewed in their mind after the Spirit. The honor and approval of men does not equate to right standing with GOD. In fact, Christ stated that just as the world hated and persecuted Him, we should expect the same if we are truly serving Him.

1 I beseechyou therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:1-2 NKJV)

What the Apostle Paul is saying here is that until you forsake your life in this world for the life that is in GOD, your heart will lack the purity needed to reflect the truth of GOD. Your heart will always reflect what you value the most, without fail. Wherever your treasure is there your mind will be focused and what you focus on you will be filled with and consequently what you are filled with will come out of your heart. The fruit informs us of the tree and the seeds planted. Be not deceived by yourself or others.

Preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching. For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold, and will turn their ears away from the truth and will wander off into myths and man-made fictions [and will accept the unacceptable]. (2 Timothy 4:2-4 Amp)

This is where we are today, but you be faithful to GOD.
