The Gospel of Christ is the power of GOD unto salvation to all those who believe. This truth is taken from Romans 1:16. When you understand this, then it makes since why the gospel is under constant attack by the devil. The devil can’t stop the gospel from being preached so, what he does is put false doctrines of Christ out in the air to compete against the truth for our focus and acceptance. There are many anti-Christ doctrines that have been accepted and circulated as the gospel of Christ. This is what the Apostle Paul was warning the early church to be on guard against.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (Colossians 3:8 KJV)
Despite his warning, that is exactly what has happened in many Christian congregations. How does this happen? Where a man’s treasure is, there his heart will be also. Because most people have not shifted their affections from this world, their heart is not opened to hear things which draw them away from what they still treasure. For example, if you treasure being famous, the state of being admired by many people, you will never fully enter the life of Christ because just as He said, the world hated Him so it will hate you also. Do not think just because Christianity is herald as one of the largest religions on earth that Christ is popular. Going back to my opening proposition, much of what is circulated as the gospel of Christ has been leavened with dark lies of the devil to hinder the true power of liberation. Much of what is preached is not reflective of the fulness of Christ. What is often preached are only the aspects of Christ which society accepts as reasonable. In my new book, “Unleashing the Gospel of Christ,” I present the key tenants of Christ’s teachings without adulteration, to leverage the power inherent in the truth to make people free. The true gospel of Christ is divisive and disruptive, not my words but His.
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. (Matthew 10:34-36 KJV)
As always, true liberation comes from revolution and revolutions aren’t peaceful. This book supports the move of GOD to unite His church in spirit and in truth to fulfill the calling of Isaiah 61. I believe this book will be a valued addition to your arsenal of spiritual weapons. It is also a great witnessing tool to those discouraged with the church of Christ and those turned away to another gospel.
