I recently hosted a bible study titled, “Sharing Mature Love.” Christ taught that all of the law and prophets hang on love. The law and the prophets teach us how to live pleasing to GOD. So, to live well is to love according to the will of GOD. Life comes from Love, so to live we must be born of love. This is why Christ teaches that if we desire to live in GOD’s will we have to be born again of love. Just like developing babies, we have to crawl before we can walk. We have not been called to merely walk; we have been called to walk a narrow and straight way. Life doesn’t consist of loving in just any fashion. We have been called to love like GOD. In a letter from the Apostle John, he reveals that Christ gave the command for us to love one another just as He loves. To do this, our love has to develop into mature godly love.
