Repairing the Damage Caused by Eurocentric Christianity and Colonization

Many people see Christ as a New Testament revelation with His gospel being spread primarily from the West to the rest of the world. This false narrative has been promoted by a people who historically have been engaged in establishing their dominance over all the earth. These people have been manipulated by Satan through evil spirits of fear and pride to colonize everywhere. Colonize is defined as the establishment of a colony in a remote land for the purpose of cultivation, commerce, or defense, and for permanent residence. The fear is evident in the purpose of defense though they themselves are the provocateurs.  The pride is evident in the presumption of cultivation, as if their ways are better than the rest of the worlds, referring to all others as savages.

To subdue a nation, you must first conquer their mind, and this is achieved through deception also known as the process of miseducation. You can’t effectively miseducate with the truth being evident, so the record of truth is always targeted by the deceiver for destruction. However, the Truth cannot be destroyed, as evidenced by the resurrection of Christ. Since truth cannot be destroyed, a deceiver can only alter the way it is viewed, so lies are flooded in to view to obscure the sight of truth. This is why we see the record of truth being perverted through false narratives. This is also why the pure knowledge of truth is so powerfully liberating.

Now to the point. There is a version of Christianity which has historically been cast falsely in a European narrative. This of course is done to promote colonial imperialism. There are many people who believe GOD ordained Africans to be enslaved in America to bring them to Christ. In a recent article I posted, I included an excerpt from a letter of secession written by the state of Texas to the federal government of America preceding the Civil War. The letter of secession from Texas had language which recognized the slavery of Black people as a Christian right shared and excepted by all Christian nations. The letter is recorded in the library of archives for the state of Texas (read the article here). Please understand that I am not sharing this to demonize or accuse White people. I am writing this to counter the destructive impact of these lies on communities in America and abroad.

Communities in America suffer because of these lies but historically the hardest hit has been Black communities. Due to the centuries of government sponsored, American church supported, white supremacist propaganda, implicit bias has been established against people of color causing Black people to be targeted for mass incarceration, police violence, hate crimes, false religions, and cult indoctrination, along with broad disenfranchisement. However, the costliest detriment of these false narratives is the rejection of the gospel of Christ by millions of Black people. This has kept one of the most brutalized portions of American society from true healing and restoration. The gospel of Christ is the only path to life and the healing and restoration of the soul. The gospel Christ is the only path back to the Father, who is the source of our true identity and life. Division which results in death is the weapon used by Satan against humanity. The true gospel of Christ is the gospel of reconciliation; reconciliation of man with GOD the Father and with one another.

16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:16-20 NKJV)

The gospel of Christ was preached through out the entire old testament, but this can only be seen through the light of the Spirit. How did the wise men from the East know that the star of Bethlehem would lead them to the prophesied King of the Jews, the birth of Christ? It wasn’t from news from the West. It was from ancient text and prophecies published from Moses to Malachi, starting from the regions of Africa and spreading to the rest of the world. Look here at what YESHUA the Christ shared with two of His disciples on the road to Emmaus after His resurrection,

25 Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” 27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. (Luke 24:25-27 NKJV)

Resist Satan and renounce his lies and receive the true gospel of Christ. The gospel of Christ is the good news that every soul is thirsting to hear. It is the eternal message of YAHWEH calling ALL His children to His table for Life in a feast of Love.

In a couple of days, America will be observing Black History month. The Association for the Study of African American Life and History, the founders of this observance, announced that the title and focus of this year’s observance is “The Black Family: Representation, Identity, and Diversity”. It is my hope that what I have shared here helps to strengthen Black families by pointing them back to their true heritage as children of GOD, which transcends race. Only reconciliation to our Heavenly Father through Christ our Savior and the life which flows from His spirit is adequate to defend against the continued trauma and offences perpetuated against people of color. It is only through seeing ourselves in the light of Truth that we will learn to love ourselves and discontinue acts of self-destruction. The greatest enemy of humanity is the proliferation of lies and deceit, this is why Truth has come to us as our Savior.
