Have you come to terms with what you truly love?

“The gravity of what you truly love is stronger than your ideals. This is why we see so much hypocrisy around us. People often profess their ideals, but they live what they love.”

That is a quote from one of the articles I have attached below. For years I have been emphasizing the necessity for a love of truth in harmony with the Word of GOD. You must love Truth, with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul, and all your strength. The truth is YAHWEH’s word, and YAHWEH and His word are one.

Jeremiah 17:9-10

⁹ The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? ¹⁰ I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

The phrase “desperately wicked” in this original Hebrew context means desperately or incurably sick. The heart of the lost is broken due to hopelessness. When people lose hope, they become desperate and do desperate things. It is through the hope birthed in our hearts from receiving the love of GOD as witnessed through Christ that our heart is restored and hopelessness is replaced with faith, and the desperation is replaced with rest and peace. Those who think that the hearts of born-again believers are still desperately wicked have misunderstood the word of GOD. Those who confess Christ as Lord yet still practice sin have not entered His rest through believing the truth of the gospel. They can’t know their heart because they refuse to accept the truth of what the Lord has said about their heart and the deeds that their sick heart produces.

Your ways come from your heart, and until you accept the truth in your heart your ways will continue to reflect sickness instead of wholeness or holiness. Healing begins with repentance unto the acknowledging of truth. I am attaching two articles that speak to the liberating and healing power of accepting truth. YAHWEH resists the proud but gives grace unto the humble. The humility the Lord is looking for is the recognition that we must sacrifice our own ways and turn to His ways because He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
