Let Your Day Dawn

Illustration by Jah’son Fuller from my book “Unleashing the Gospel of Christ”.

It has been alleged that there was an infamous man known as Willie Lynch who had a reputation for breaking the spirit of enslaved humans by conditioning them to propagate amongst themselves a defeatist mentality, reinforced by acts of terror to embed fear. The rest of the strategy dealt with sowing discord and division. Whoever credited Willie Lynch with this strategy never read the bible or have any idea who Satan is because these are the very tactics he has employed since the first humans walked the earth. Willie Lynch, whether real or fictional, is just another spawn of Satan. I haven’t brought this topic up to discuss the problems of black folk, but instead to discuss the problems of all people, with an emphasis on those who confess to know Christ as their savior. Today, many confessing Christians are still enslaved to carnality and this world system as if Christ never loosed resurrection power in the earth. It is time for the fruit of Christ to be manifested in all the earth.

It is time to embrace the truth of the gospel of Christ in fulness of faith and with abandon to GOD. HEAR the Word of the Lord!

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (John 1:10-12 KJV)

How does this work? If you truly believe on Christ, then you truly believe His words. The words of Christ are spirit and power which transforms the inner being into the likeness of Him. As He taught, when the truth finds a believing and trusting heart, the fruit will come forth. The fruit is the life of Christ. Where there is no life of Christ, there is no faith and trust in His word. Let’s not make it more complex than it is. Complexity is the mechanism of deception used by Satan to steal the seed of the word. A major part of the problem is that the truth is often sown mingled with the weeds of the world and the weeds are nurtured more than the truth from a lack of sanctification of the spirit. The result is a worldly confessing Christian instead of a true manifestation of Christ.

Sanctification of the spirit is facilitated through taking up the cross daily. A daily practice of mortifying the flesh and denying the carnal appetites of worldly conditioning. We must spend quality time in the presence of GOD. By this I mean, praying for our spiritual needs, finding quiet to listen for direction, reading the scriptures, fellowshipping with holy people who also live in sanctification. To fulfill this journey, this calling, there must be a willingness to suffer for the sake of righteousness. There must be a willingness to endure the labor pains of the formation of Christ with in. There must be a hope and yearning for the promises of GOD.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV)

This reward must be more valuable to us than the temporal things offered by this world, because where our treasure is there our heart will be also. You can’t fake that. The gravity of what you truly love is stronger than your ideals. This is why we see so much hypocrisy around us. People often profess their ideals, but they live what they love. Here is what I have seen of this life and what is evident if you closely examine it. The only thing that loves you back in a meaningful and lasting way is GOD Almighty through the way of Christ. You will find no love more beneficial than the sacrificial love of Christ. Allow the witness in the love of Christ to cast down all the reasonings and allegations against the faithfulness of GOD. Let your heart be reconciled to the truth that is in the love of Christ and allow hope in GOD to be renewed. Then you will find the strength to resist Satan and his lies, and the strength to endure the tribulation that leads to liberty and life in the spirit.

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.

In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer,

I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 KJV)
