The Work of Seeing

The verb see means to strain, stretch, and extend to perceive. To see truth or reality, there must be a will to strain, stretch, and extend from darkness into light. This darkness being the present void of a lack of knowledge or understanding. As the words imply, to strain, stretch, and extend, means moving from a place of comfort. So, there must be a compelling greater than comfort which motivates you to see the light of truth to address your lack of knowledge.  Without this greater compelling to leave your comfort zone, you will not practice true seeing and therefore remain in darkness. The two greatest motivators in the earth are love and fear. Fear seeks comfort from a perceived threat, while love seeks selflessly to benefit others. For clarity, desire which seeks to satisfy or fulfill self alone is lust. Many confuse lust for love, so I wanted to make that distinction.  Based on an understanding of these two dominant motivators, love is the great compeller which leads to finding truth because it is far less susceptible to selfish bias to remain in comfort. Fear on the other hand seeks to preserve self. So learning in an environment of fear compels people toward biases that they believe will preserve their lives and keep them comfortable.

So great deceivers create chains of darkness through maintaining narratives of fear which compel people toward blinding self-biases. “They are savages, less humane, therefore prone to animalistic behaviors and crimes. They must be controlled and suppressed to maintain safety and peace, for the good of all.” Does any of that sound familiar? That is the sound of fear propaganda produced to sustain chains of darkness.

It is only through creating environments of love that the light of truth can flourish and people can be delivered from chains of darkness. Christ taught that blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see GOD. To be pure in heart is to be free from biases that can hinder seeing. This is why Christ taught that the ways of love leads to truth, liberty, and salvation. The following scriptures support what I am putting forth.

1 John 4:18

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Mark 12:30-31

30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

John 8:31-32

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

1 John 4:7-8

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

The only way to break the chains of darkness and see the light of truth is by entrusting your life to GOD. To entrust your life to GOD you must first believe that He loves you. Throughout history, all of GOD’s works have been to convince you of His love for you and He has concluded with the greatest work of all. There is no greater love than one sacrificing his life for another and that is just what GOD did when He came to earth in the person of YEHOSHUA the Christ and sacrificed Himself as an offering to create a path for you and Him to be reconciled.

Receive the love of GOD through the gospel of Christ and cast out your fears. If He was willing to die for you knowing all of your faults and sins, why would you doubt His love for you and that He has a great plan to share the riches of His life with you? Purify your heart by renouncing the dark narratives of those who would manipulate you and ask the GOD of truth to fill you with the light of life in the name of Christ our Savior.
