On June 18th 1865, there were many enslaved people in Texas still living in bondage and evil servitude though their freedom had been proclaimed 899 days earlier. Today, there are many people that have been freed by the sacrifice of Christ and the power of His resurrection, but they are still living in servitude to sin because they have not received the good news of His gospel. The good news has not been received because there are many who have not heard the true gospel of Christ and others who have heard the gospel, yet lacked the faith to receive it, and still others who just love the slave wages of sin more than the cost of living free.
