As Christians, we have been given the ministry of reconciliation. We are the repairers of the breaches. The sin of disobedience and idolatry has caused breaches in the Church which has facilitated the spread of breaches in society at large. Reconciliation is the process of mending these breaches, repairing the rifts created by neglecting truth, judgement, and love. Repairing these breaches must begin with repairing the breaches in the Church first. The whole world can see how divided Christians are. There are so many factions of Christianity that almost everyone claims to be Christian, regardless of their lifestyle and beliefs without feeling conflicted. Men have rejected the truth of the gospel due to a love of this evil world. People have become so corrupted by lust that they often cannot even perceive of a life separate from the pleasures of sin, so much so that many satanically proclaim that living sanctified and righteous is impossible in this lifetime. This is satanic because Satan is the author of all lies.
The standard of Christianity set by the life of the one who started it is being proclaimed as being beyond replication in this lifetime. The evil permeation of this lie has opened the door for the multitude of deviations we see in churches today. These deviations are anti-Christ because at the root of them is disbelief in the testimony of Christ.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. (John 3:18-20 NKJV)
Denying that the Holy Seed of GOD sown in the earth has the ability to produce fruit after His own kind is the denial of the testimony of Christ. The prophet Moses said by the spirit of YAHWEH that seed time and harvest would never cease as long as the earth remains (Genesis 8:22). Christ testified that as many as believed on Him He would give power to become the sons of GOD, just as He was. Christ sowed His life into the earth through the cross just as He said and has risen again. Through the power of resurrection life Christ has given us the ability to live in the power of His life. Since Christ is the Word and Truth, He cannot lie. So many people confessing that Christians are just sinners forgiven and that only Christ can live righteously are rejecting the Truth.
1I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. (2 Timothy 4:1-4 NKJV)
If the Church is going to become the entity it was ordained to be and complete the mission it has been charged with, it must receive the Truth of the gospel. This means the seed of the Word must find hallowed hearts. YESHUA the Christ captures all of this in the parable of the sower. The Word must find hearts that are not encroached by the cares of this world. Here in is the problem. This was the problem in the day Christ walked the earth in the flesh and it is still the problem today. Most people reject Christ, within and without Christianity, because He does not represent the cares of this world. People care about the things they treasure, and the truth is that many who confess Christ still treasure the things of this world; riches, carnal pleasures, popularity, fame, and the power and freedom to enjoy them. All these things are the things of this world which block the seed of Truth from taking root in the hearts of men. So, the Christ of many Christians is really the spirit of anti-Christ based on a savior that conforms to their lust, produced by their own imagination like the golden calf of the Mount Sinai abomination.
Christians must first repent and turn to GOD. The Christian walk begins after the cross experience, not before. The cross experience is where the believer willfully surrenders all they know of their lives to the government of Christ. Christ must define your reality. Until Christ becomes your Way, your Truth, and your Life, you have not truly accepted the salvation which He authors. This is the reconciliation which has to take place first. This is the breach which has to be repaired first. When those who call themselves servants of Christ turn their whole hearts to Him, then His light will shine brightly through them and their witness will help the others who are lost to find their way back to the Father.
This is the reciprocal work of reconciliation that must take place to repair the breaches in the Church and throughout humanity. This is the heart and the work of the gospel of reconciliation. It begins with faith in the true Christ and receiving His words and the taking up of the cross in true surrender.
1Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. (1 John 3:1-3 NKJV)
If you have the hope of the gospel of Christ, then endeavor to be in this world but not of this world. Endeavour to keep your affections in heaven where the true riches of life are preserved. Endure hardness as a good soldier and find comfort in the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit encourage you with the knowledge of Truth as He brings you into remembrance of all the promises of Christ. The best part about the good news of the gospel of Christ is that it is true.
Amen!
