The plan of the enemy is to seduce us away from the safety of the narrow path of life to gain an advantage to kill, steal, and destroy. He can only succeed if he is able to entice us. He can only entice us if we are carnally minded, which is to say if we resort to moving in our own ways versus the ways of the Spirit after GOD the Father.
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. (James 1:14-15)
Confidence in the providential will of Elohim will keep our soul anchored in His ways. So, when adversity comes instead of rising up, we kneel to the sovereignty of YAHWEH.
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. (Matthew 5:43-46)
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:13-14)
As Children of YAHWEH, we should only yield to the compelling of the Spirit. Those are motives driven by love and faith. We should be examining ourselves to ensure we are moved by no other stimulus. If we fail to take up our cross, then the powers of darkness will exploit our old motives of fear and pride to entice us to move from the refuge of holiness and righteousness which eventually gives fodder to the wicked accuser. The darkness in this world is a constant test of our hearts giving us instant feedback on where we stand in this sojourn. We are not called to fight for ourselves, we are called to fight for the Kingdom of YAHWEH, and the victory will always be ours when the battle is the Lord’s.
Rest in the refuge of the Spirit and let Elohim fight your battles. That way you won’t soil your wedding garments fighting in the mire with carnal people being used as pawns of Satan. Live in the greater story of your Father as dear children.
