Seizing the Opportunity of Grace

I recently had an in-depth conversation with a group of men regarding the grace of GOD. Everyone gave their input in very heartfelt ways because all present realized that without GOD’s unmerited favor, we wouldn’t have a prayer…literally. Grace is the expression of GOD’s love for us given in the form of multiple opportunities to receive His salvation and blessings.

One of the most commonly used definitions of grace is that it is GOD’s unmerited favor. He loves us because He is love, not because we have done anything to earn His love. He showers us with love because it is His pleasure to do it. This is an important understanding to grasp because the pride of conceit, which has polluted this world, blocks the soaking rain of GOD’s gracious love. YAHWEH sends His love to water the heart, to keep it soft and pliable for His seeds of truth. The pride of conceit, like an umbrella, blocks grace from reaching the heart of many people. The heart of so many has become dry and parched from the ungratefulness produced by the pride of conceit. The pride of conceit is man’s attempt to define the world based on what he conceives in his own mind. He exalts the conceptions of his own imagination as truth, and thereby enters darkness. Only the truth of the Creator brings real illumination, everything else is the darkness of deception. When you turn from the light of truth, all you are left with are the shadows of darkness. This is the realm of false gods, and every perverse but seemingly good thing man can imagine. The pride of conceit overlooks the bread of life and covets the fruit on every tree, imagining they are more pleasing and satisfying.

Man embarked on this journey into darkness when Lucifer, a fallen angel, convinced man that the light of GOD’s word wasn’t true. The only way out is for man to repent of his pride and turn back to the light. The grace of GOD affords man this opportunity for rescue. The grace of GOD pardons the foulness of man’s pride, allowing His love to extend into the darkness as a beacon of salvation. YAHWEH reaches out to man with the light of truth, calling him back to the path of reality and life. The grace given in the revelation of truth is the most precious gift of GOD and is worth the ransom of your life.

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14 NKJV)

Christ is that true light which descended into the earth to reconcile man back to GOD the Father. Here is what Christ proclaimed to his disciples before His work was finished,

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6 NKJV)

Lucifer accuses the Heavenly Father of being self-serving and controlling to make man feel as though he is alone in this world to take man captive by the principality of selfish pride. That evil lie caused man to turn inwardly for the preservation of his life, and unto this day men still rely on their own reasoning rather than the truth of GOD. As man plummeted into darkness, Lucifer tried to perpetuate this rift by accusing GOD before man and accusing man before GOD. YAHWEH, knowing all things, gave a word of prophecy to Lucifer at the fall of man saying, He would send a seed into the earth that would crush Lucifers head, from which flows the weapon of his lies. YAHWEH came to us incarnate, through the person of YESHUA HAMASHIACH and sacrificed himself to cast down the lie of the accuser. Showing man that He is Love and that love is not self-serving but sacrificial.

“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” (Revelations 12:10 KJV)

18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:18-19 NKJV)

The loving grace of GOD has given us an opportunity through the sacrifice of Christ, which has paid the debts of everyman that will accept His call to reconciliation, by turning from themselves to trust Him with their life.

The light of this truth is a blessing of GOD’s grace. Seize the opportunity today to give Him your whole heart through abandoning the pride of conceit and trusting in the testimony of Christ.

44 Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. 45 And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. 46 I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. 47 And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. 49 For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. 50 And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.” (John 12:44-50 NKJV)
