Do You Dream In A Specific Color?

When you look at the voting map of the United States for the presidential election, it shows you just how united America really is. The divide represents more than just two candidates, it represents different mindsets regarding what is most important, right, and humane. The name United States is more representative of a vision or dream held by early white male entrepreneurs than a group of ethical people looking to start a utopian society for all humans. The definition of colonize is to permanently settle in a remote country for the purpose of cultivation, commerce, or defense (Merriam Webster). The American Dream was a vision shared from the minds of a group of white males. This Dream throughout history has been reluctant to expand to include the visions or dreams of any others. The current attempts to dismantle DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and the failure of congress to pass the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors (Dream) Act under President Obama is reflective of this. The prosperity of America was never meant to be inclusive. Most of you are probably familiar with Dr. Martin Luther King introducing his dream to America in his “I have a dream” speech. During the time he was trying to realize his dream, he was considered America’s number one public enemy. What was so threatening about his dream?…equality and a sharing of prosperity among all humans.

The division we see in the red and blue map of America is a clash of dreams and visions. As division goes, the larger the numerator exceeds the denominator, the greater the whole number. If America could truly factor into the equation that we are all equally human, then we would have no devisor at all. This is the beauty and brilliance of GOD in reconciling all humans in Christ. Christ gave His life as a ransom for all of humanity to eliminate the devisor and make us all one. Here is His prayer before His crucifixion.

 17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. 20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. (John 17:17-21 NKJV)

The division in America and the rest of the world is the result of the evil powers of darkness blinding the minds of men. The love of GOD came into the world shining brightly in the life of Christ to give light to men. The light He gives is the knowledge of GOD’s love and an understanding that the pain and suffering in this world is not due to GOD rejecting man but rather man rejecting GOD. The blindness of man’s heart comes from it being clouded with fear, hate, lust, and maliciousness resulting from accepting the lie which Satan propagates that we are on our own in this existence. Satan is the evil behind all the propaganda which fuels fear and hate, the brick and mortar of the walls of division.

Love is the wrecking ball which breaks down the walls! Not just any love though, it has to be the Love of GOD. The love that is from GOD through the life of Christ our Lord, YESHUA HAMASHIACH, the Messiah, the Lamb of GOD, the Lion of Judah. The resurrection power in the life of Christ gives all those who believe on Him the power to love through reconnecting them to GOD, for GOD is love. This is the gospel of reconciliation meant to go throughout all the earth to bring all people back to GOD.

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21 KJV)

It is time for the servants and friends of Christ to repent and purge themselves from the same fear and hate which blinds the rest of the world. We cannot bypass the cross of Christ and expect to walk in resurrection power. We must crucify our worldly affections and affinities at the cross to enter into the liberty of the spirit where we find newness of life; a new heart, a new mind, a new perspective on humanity, and a new power to love. We must live by the rule of the spirit that the standards of GOD can be visible to those lost in darkness, who need a light of hope. We must be the wrecking balls of love and light or we will continue to be divided by walls of red and blue, white and black, the privileged and the oppressed, the conscious and the unconscious. There will not be a season of healing in the land until the Church releases the balm. That balm is the love of GOD.
