Adam fell, but Christ was lifted up. All men fall short of the glory of GOD in Adam but through Christ, also called the second Adam, all men can be lifted up. YEHOSHUA HAMASHIACH, the anointed salvation of GOD, was the first born of GOD from the dead. Man can be restored to the image and glory of YAHWEH through the resurrection life that is in Him.
John 17:22-23
22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
Our Savior is making it clear that the glory lost by Adam is restored in those who are born again in Christ. I have heard those professing faith in Christ also professing to be in the fallen state of Adam. If that is indeed the case, then you have not received the full gospel of Christ because as He stated, as heard and recorded by the Apostle John, those who have the Spirit of Christ within them have been raised again to glory even as He was raised. The gospel of Christ is the gospel of reconciliation unto full restoration to the glory of a son of GOD.
John 1:11-13
11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
The problem is that many people today are still not receiving Him. Though many profess to believe in Him, few have truly received Him. You cannot delineate between Christ and the words He spoke. The words Christ speak are the seed of Truth with the power to produce life after its kind. To be born again through Christ is to die to your own reasonings, imaginations, and thoughts to allow the holy seed of Truth to have dominion in you and reproduce the life of Christ in you. The life of Christ restores the glory of GOD in you by making you a new man after His likeness. This is the restoration of your true heritage as recorded in the book of Genesis.
Genesis 1:26-27
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.
Elohim said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness,” and then He created man in His own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
The true gospel of Christ is the call of restoration back to the glorious heritage of children of GOD for the manifestation of His likeness in the earth. The indoctrination of man into a belief that Christians are fallen people who have just been forgiving without restoration to the true likeness of GOD is indoctrination into a false gospel by a devilish spirit of anti-Christ that does not regard the things that be of YAHWEH. The letters of the Apostles from the first spreading of the true gospel also contained admonishment to guard against carnal doctrines of heresy which seduce people away from the truth of Christ. These seducing doctrines are still around today reinforcing the bondage of sin through removing the work of the cross and the power of resurrection life. These devilish doctrines offer carnal people who refuse to suffer in the flesh an alternative path to salvation that leads to delusion and deeper darkness. These anti-Christ doctrines actually increase the alienation of people from the true and living GOD instead of reconciling them to GOD by giving them a lifeless golden calf to worship in the place of GOD. This is another type of golden calf similar to the idol given to the Israelites at the bottom of mount Sinai. Just as the Israelites proclaimed after receiving the golden calf back then, people today profess that their replacement gospel is the truth that has saved them.
Exodus 32:2-4
2 And Aaron said to them, “Break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people broke off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron. 4 And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf.
Then they said, “This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”
The idolatry of both of these false saviors comes from holding on to the treasures of our life of bondage. Until a person values GOD above everything else, they will not shift their affection to the things of GOD from the treasures of this world. Until that shift happens, they will succumb to carnal temptations, because where a person’s treasure is their heart and its affections will be there as well. The only thing I know which is powerful enough to break the shackles of lust to the pleasures of this world is the love of GOD in the voice of Christ as He calls us to life as the sacrificial lamb that has been slain. The reality of a love so supreme knocking at the door of my heart I found too compelling to ignore. The fact that He waited for me patiently at the stoop of my heart until I realized He was my best option still makes me cry today. The love Christ has poured into me has fulfilled the yearnings of my heart beyond my understanding. A love supreme has empowered me to forsake the temporal pleasures of this world by healing my heart. When the love of Christ healed my heart, I was freed from the dependency of having to constantly seek things to numb the pain of a broken heart. In addition to healing my heart, Christ is allowing me to drink from His Spirit, and I have new life coursing through me. I am being transformed by His Spirit on the inside, and His nature is becoming manifest on the outside. Though I was once fallen, I am now being remade upright. This is the power of the resurrection life of Christ.
As with Christ, before resurrection there must be mortification. If we are not willing to die in His likeness, we cannot be raised in His likeness. This is the meaning of what Christ said as He stated, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Similarly, it is what He was relaying when He said, “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.”
Don’t be deceived. Salvation had to be free for you because from your heritage in Adam you were left desolate with no wealth or riches to bargain with. The only value the things of this world hold is their influence to turn you toward GOD with your whole heart. You will not realize this until your mind is renewed through the resurrection process. Every progressive step after Christ requires faith in Him.
Here are some additional teachings from the early apostles addressing the need to beware of delusion and false doctrines.
2 Peter 2:1-3
1Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2Many will follow in their depravity, and because of them the way of truth will be defamed. 3In their greed, these false teachers will exploit you with deceptive words. The longstanding verdict against them remains in force, and their destruction does not sleep.
Galatians 1:6-9
6 I am amazed how quickly you are deserting the One who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is not even a gospel. Evidently some people are troubling you and trying to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a curse! 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be under a curse!
I John 3:7-9
7 Little children, let no one deceive you: The one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as Christ is righteous. 8 The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil. 9 Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.
It is time to forsake the ways of Adam, the hiding, the excuses, the compromise, the entertaining the lies of the serpent. We have a new beginning in Christ the Savior. It is the new day of salvation. Let us not faulter like the generation of Israelites who were delivered from Pharoah by the mighty hand of GOD. Let us trust the Lord as faithful and true to enter our inheritance as restored children of the Most High GOD.
