One of the signs that Christ has made you free from the oppression of Satan is that you are no longer ruled by his lies. Likewise, one of the signs that Christ has made you free from the deception of your own devices is a penitent heart. As one that was born physically in the United States and having lived here since birth, I see the danger and power of false narratives. The effects of false narratives born out of colonization and its mechanisms to maintain control are still shaping behaviors of those who have poisoned minds. The racism against non-whites, the irrational fears against the descendants of the formerly enslaved and immigrants are both signs of this poison which is still being administered through the preservation of those original deceptive narratives.
The oppression of the rich ruling class in the western hemisphere is just an extension of the rule of Satan against those who do not know Truth. The salvation of GOD came into the earth as Truth made flesh to bring liberation. He came as the Son of GOD, called YEHOSHUA HAMASHIACH, the anointed salvation of YAHWEH. Here is a proclamation by Him:
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32-32)
You know those who the Savior has liberated by their adherence to truth. Those who abide in His word live by the narratives of truth. So, what is truth. The Savior tells us:
“I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” (John 17:15-17)
Those who are saved by Him are empowered to be in the world without remaining conquered by the world. They are in the world while resting in His triumph over darkness and lies.
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
Unfortunately, just as Adam and Eve made themselves coverings of fig leaves and hid from the light of GOD, many today still construct evil narratives to cover their sins instead of repenting and coming into the light to be made free. The original wicked narrative that serves as the fountainhead of all others was introduced by Satan in the early days of creation which casted the Creator as a repressive tyrant. From the acceptance of that lie, man’s practice of seeking coverings other than the truth of GOD has flourished.
“Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.” (Isaiah 30:1-3)
In the proclamation of GOD that I just cited from the prophet Isaiah, we understand by the Holy Spirit that Pharoah is a type of Satan and his strength is darkness. The shadow of Egypt is a type of any dark place that is sought from the light of truth. In this writing, I am identifying false narratives as oppressive havens for those who are either hiding from truth or for those ignorantly deceived. In either case, today is the day of salvation for the light has come and the Spirit of Truth has been poured out from Heaven into the earth to lead us out of darkness into the life-giving light of GOD, our Savior.
So, beware of narratives that provide a safe place from the light of truth as revealed by the Spirit and Word of GOD. There is no justification for the sin of treating another human in a way you would not desire to be treated. There is no path to fulfillment that doesn’t include sacrifice and durable pain. The Creator did not make a mistake casting you in the gender you were born with. Leadership is for service not dominance. There are presently enough resources on the earth for everyone to have a secure place to live and food to be healthy. We are ONE big but divided family.
Coming into the new life of light and liberty will be accompanied by pain and travail as with all births, but that is only for a moment, afterwards there is an eternity of rest, joy, and peace. To inherit the abundant life obtained for us by Christ our Savior, we must transition from the life of darkness and false narratives into the light of Truth. The light will reveal our thoughts and behaviors that need to change but it also provides us a covering of grace and mercy through the knowledge of GOD’s divine Love. Becoming a newborn in the Kingdom Heaven will make us an alien to this present world, but our Savior says He never leave us or forsake us and that He would remain with us through our sojourn.
