Beware of using idols for self-deification. After Elohim delivered the Israelites from Egypt by destroying Pharoah and his armies, the Israelites denounced Elohim and had a golden calf made, then credited the idol with their deliverance. This type of delusion comes from rejecting the light of truth. The light of truth is the Word of GOD, so when it is rejected, the way is paved for the perversions of darkness. Many people have rejected divine truth today and that is why we have the darkness of people seeking life through crystals, vibrations, stars, and other creations instead of the Creator who made them.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12)
Impetus of all idols is the same. Idols allow people to deify their own desires and imaginations outside of the rule of GOD. Idols get their power from those who exalt them, so it becomes an instrument of self-deification. An idol has no power to reprove, correct, or judge you. It is only an object that amplifies the imagination of the one that deified it and so it is with all idols.
This is why the path to true salvation and deliverance begins with denying self and taking up the cross. The cross blocks the manifestation of idols that would contend with the process of deliverance willed by the true and living GOD. While those who create idols as mentioned earlier consider themselves spiritual, they are actually just supernatural, which means extra-natural or excessively carnal. On the surface it may look virtuous, but underneath is the same rebellion that empowers all evil. Christ says that those who do not gather with Him, scatter abroad. Anything that is a distraction from the true path of salvation contributes to the destruction of souls. There is no neutral ground. Either you are moving with the tides of this world or you are moving against them by the Spirit of GOD. Either you are of this world by natural birth, or you are against it through actual spiritual rebirth.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies….(Galatians 5:19-20)
Fulfillment only comes through Christ.
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)
