Those who love this world are interested in a savior who wants to save THIS world. One who is willing to do it by any means necessary. This is how the Jews were persuaded to choose Barabbas to be released rather than YESHUA HAMASHIACH.
6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired. 7 And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection. (Mark 15:6-7)
The Jews were looking for another King David to destroy their carnal enemies, but Christ came to destroy the power and works of the true enemy of all human life, Satan. The carnal minded Jews could not see this. So, they were persuaded to pick Barabbas. Today many who profess to be Christian are making the same mistake. They are endorsing carnal leaders who care more for the things of this world than the things that be of GOD and are trying to solve spiritual issues by carnal means. The only one that can save this world is the Lord Christ. The Lord will save this world just as He saves every man and that is by doing away with the old and bringing forth something new.
The whole idea of Christian Nationalism is carnal and from an antichrist spirit. No one born of the Spirit of Christ would dare identify Him with the corrupt nations of this world. Christ is also the King of kings, and His Kingdom has no bounds. Christ came to save all the inhabitants of the earth without partiality. Americans who promote Christian Nationalism are trying to distinguish the United States as a country founded on the values of Christ, which in and of itself is ludicrous in light of the country’s blighted history full of government policies of death, hate, oppression, hypocrisy, and greed. This is why the same people promoting Christian Nationalism also despises the teaching of America’s true history. The suppression of truth is synonymous with the spreading of darkness, which is also antichristian. So called Christian nationalist profane the name of Christ.
Any minister calling himself a servant of Christ promoting the idea that the blessings of GOD are only for Israel and the United States is deceived and does not know GOD. Any claims of supremacy or favor with GOD based on natural birth or national birth alone is rooted in the vanity of pride and delusion. Even the Israelites under the first covenant had to be circumcised in their flesh, which symbolized GOD’s rejection of any carnal heritage and the designation of a new spiritual heritage. Those that worship GOD must worship Him in spirit and truth. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of GOD. The deception that creeps through the earth is subtle, cunning, and seductive. GOD has given us the antidote for this venom of darkness in the following commands:
“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)
“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” (Matthew 22:37)
There is only one way to claim to be a sojourner in this earth who is seeking a Kingdom not of this earth and also claim to be a nationalist to a country of this world, and that is by being double-minded. Anyone who knows GOD understands that He is a purest and requires singleness of heart. I’ll let the letter from the Apostle James confirm the revelation of the Spirit. This reads like a critique of American history followed by good counsel.
What leads to [the unending] quarrels and conflicts among you? Do they not come from your [hedonistic] desires that wage war in your [bodily] members [fighting for control over you]? 2 You are jealous and covet [what others have] and your lust goes unfulfilled; so you murder. You are envious and cannot obtain [the object of your envy]; so you fight and battle. You do not have because you do not ask [it of God]. 3 You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires. 4 You adulteresses [disloyal sinners—flirting with the world and breaking your vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world’s friend [that is, loving the things of the world] is being God’s enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think that the Scripture says to no purpose that the [human] spirit which He has made to dwell in us lusts with envy? 6 But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation]. Therefore, it says, “God is opposed to the proud and haughty, but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble [who turn away from self-righteousness].” 7 So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God [with a contrite heart] and He will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, you double-minded [people]. 9 Be miserable and grieve and weep [over your sin]. Let your [foolish] laughter be turned to mourning and your [reckless] joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves [with an attitude of repentance and insignificance] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up, He will give you purpose].
