There have been times when I greeted people in the morning and they replied, “Same crap, different day.” Maybe you have gotten that response before or a more crude variant, but the sentiment is the same. That expression relays a certain futility with life in which a person is stuck in a loop that presents the same scenarios day after day, with no real hope of a brighter day. This sentiment was held by King Solomon, a person blessed with wisdom beyond any other man.
4 One generation passes away, and another generation comes;
But the earth abides forever.
5 The sun also rises, and the sun goes down,
And hastens to the place where it arose.
6 The wind goes toward the south,
And turns around to the north;
The wind whirls about continually,
And comes again on its circuit.
7 All the rivers run into the sea,
Yet the sea is not full;
To the place from which the rivers come,
There they return again. (Ecclesiastes 1:4-7 NKJV)
Solomon, in apparent despair, reflects on continuous loops he has observed in life. These repetitive cycles framed his outlook on life as a whole.
9 That which has been is what will be,
That which is done is what will be done,
And there is nothing new under the sun.
10 Is there anything of which it may be said,
“See, this is new”? (Ecclesiastes 1:9-10 NKJV)
You might think that Solomon would be blown away at the technological advances of today which have never been before and you are right, I am sure he would be amazed for a moment but then he would look at the hearts of men and say, “For all these wonders still nothing has changed.” He would see the same striving for power and riches, he would look at the wars and disputes for natural resources, he would see the same disregard for life in crime, oppression, and injustice. When you look at what really matters, which is how man treats his fellow man, and how he honors the Creator, how much has really changed?
On the surface, it may seem like nothing, just as Solomon observed, but in the spiritual realm there has been tremendous change and the sooner we all embrace the truth of the spirit, we can begin to see greater changes on the surface of the earth, for Christ has broken the loop!
“The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here.” (Matthew 12:42 NKJV)
“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.” (Psalm 19:7 KJV)
The testimony of Christ is greater than the reflections of King Solomon. The advent of Christ is a declaration of a new era for humanity. The bible refers to Christ as the second Adam. This break in the loop is also reflected in the historic time designations of BC (before Christ) and AD (Anno Domini, Latin for “in the year of the Lord”). We live now in the time of our Lord’s great redemption. We are living in the greatest moment of grace and mercy that human history will ever see. Here is what Christ proclaimed.
16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” (Luke 4:16-21 NKJV)
This is the year of our Lord to get free from the generational curses of our fleshly predecessors to enter a new heritage. This is the season of abundant mercy and truth. This is the season to make your pivot, to turn from the old ways of the flesh to the new ways of life in the spirit by the power of Christ.
16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:16-21 NKJV)
If you haven’t already, do not waste your money on any one’s 5, 10, 12, or whatever number step plan to a better life or a better you. Accept the invitation of YAHWEH through Christ to be reconciled again to the development plan of GOD, where you are crafted in His loving hands through the surrender of your will for His will. The book of Ecclesiastes tells us that there is a season for every purpose under the sun. The season of this gracious opportunity will pass. Do everything in your power to seize this moment because you were born during one of the most amazing opportunities in the history of man.
10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” (Revelation 12:10-12 NKJV)
We have been blessed to live in the great year of our Lord, where through Christ the mercy of GOD is unfathomable, and there is great light revealing things clearly that have been hidden for ages. To combat this time of revelation, Satan has released a barrage of lies and misinformation like never before. If you are looking for life and fulfillment through paths that are comfortable and reasonable then you will be deceived. YAHWEH has called us to walk a path that is uncomfortable due to purifying fire, which requires faith and trust in Him instead of our own reasoning. No matter what the challenges are that are set before us, Christ tells us to be of good cheer for He has overcome. Decide now to put your trust in Christ at whatever cost, and accept His testimony as the way, the truth, and the life, and you will be among those who receive the great inheritance of GOD, and who rejoice in heaven as overcomers.
Yes it is true.
We have a very tech. advanced civilization but our hearts and minds are the same.
Most walking in the darkness and a few walking in the light.
