We live in a world constantly under forces, be it the effects of gravity, or the effects of consumers around us striving for their ideal share of earth’s resources. There is nothing passive about our existence. We are always feeling the tug, pull, and influence, of some force. In the presence of all these forces, we have been appointed to walk a line known as our “calling.” Our “calling” is synonymous with our purpose, GOD’s will, or intent for our present and future life. The line of our calling is the only path we can walk immune to all the other forces at work around us. Here is why:
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. (Romans 8:28-30 NKJV)
All the forces acting around us are subject unto the purposes of YAHWEH. GOD causes all things to adapt to His purposes. When we live according to His purpose or calling for us, ALL things around us must make way, from the natural forces of nature to the will of man. Look at Moses, the Red sea, and Pharoah with his armies. Look at the three Hebrew boys, the fiery furnace, and King Nebuchadnezzar with his decrees. Look at Christ, His resurrection from the dead, and the wicked principalities of this world. Our victory is in answering the call of GOD with everything we have.
The Holy Spirit has been poured into the earth to bring the knowledge of our call, and to endow us with power to walk it out. We have to abandon the lust of carnal living to focus on the call of the Spirit to fulfill our call unto glorification. The forces against us are real but they are all subject to the will of GOD and His purposes. When we align ourselves with our call in GOD, we become overcomers, and nothing can prevail against us. This is why it is so important for us to stay grounded in heavenly values and not be conjoined with worldly values. The Apostle Paul said it this way,
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2 NKJV)
We cannot afford to be conformed to this world in order to receive temporal pleasures and benefits. In the end, everything conforms to the will of YAHWEH. He has predestined those things in obedience to glorification, and those things in defiance to condemnation.
I am witnessing masses of people conform to this world from the forces of fear and rejection, and the gravity of pleasure and lust. I see males abandoning the call to be men, females abandoning the call to be women, humans abandoning the call to be humane, and the children of GOD abandoning the call to be godly. We have an enemy called, “the Wicked One” and “Satan,” that wants to see everything meant to glorify GOD destroyed. This is part of the conflict we were all born into, but GOD has made the path of victory for us through YESHUA HAMASHIACH, Christ our Savior. We cannot save ourselves through following our imaginations or devising our own way according to how we feel. We must seek our true calling and purpose as ordained by the Creator to experience true fulfillment in life. Let us take up our cross of humility, virtue, and love and follow the way of Christ into His victory and glorification.
