Entering The Kingdom As Children

I have often heard people say that they follow or believe in the god of their understanding. Considering how little man understands about this vast universe we live in, that doesn’t allow for much of a supreme being. A person which limits reality to only what they can understand deifies their intellect. The true and living GOD requires that we seek to know Him first by faith. Faith is trust in GOD held in the heart and mind based on what He has expressed to us of His love, purity, beauty, and integrity.

If we consider it, it is very similar to children trusting in their earthly parents. You had no choice but to trust your parents because you had no understanding of what they were doing to provide a living for you, and you couldn’t do it on your own. You or someone you know may be trying to live life based on their own understanding but just like a little child, there is so much more going on that you don’t understand, you need to rely on someone with greater knowledge and ability.

Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:2-4 NKJV)

Parents are given as our tutors for learning to walk with GOD. Humans are among the slowest mammals to physically develop to a point of self-reliance because our lives are dependent on us learning the virtues of humility. Through pride, men forget their humble beginnings and the need for humility and a healthy sense of dependency and stray from the path of Life into independent reasoning. I am referring to reasoning which does not consider the many things which provide a living for man that he is yet to understand and also beyond his control. Reasoning which does not acknowledge the dependency we still have on one another to live ethically because our individual actions create ripples which impact those around us.

I was studying the book of Ecclesiastes around the time of the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter, which occurred this century on the winter and summer Solstice for this planet we have been placed on. There was one verse I read in Ecclesiastes chapter three which captivated me in relation to this celestial event.

14 I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, And nothing taken from it.
God does it, that men should fear before Him.
(Ecclesiastes 3:14 NKJV)

After reading this, I thought about the fact that regardless of who won in the elections, whether the spread of COVID-19 subsided or increased, whether the economy crashed or picked up, no matter what man imagined in his heart, the plans and will of GOD would stand unchanged as set forth from the beginning. None of the events I mentioned would have kept Saturn and Jupiter from aligning in that time which YAHWEH had designated. GOD Almighty has set signs in the heavens and earth to teach us humility and dependence on Him. This understanding of dependency on our Heavenly Father is also known as the “Fear of the Lord.”

Life on earth is made more painful and difficult by the actions of men derived from thoughts not based on a healthy sense of dependency on YAHWEH, the Creator of all things. The principles and guidelines of the Creator are what sustains life. When men act independently of those principles and guidelines the result is death. Death is the end result of this prideful independence but leading up to that end is needless pain and suffering. I implore you for your own sake and the sake of those you love, to humble yourself unto GOD and submit your heart and mind to His expressions to us. The expressions of YAHWEH are summed up in YESHUA HAMASHIACH, Christ the Savior.

1God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. (Hebrews 1:1-4 NKJV)

18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:18-20 NKJV)
