Once you have walked with GOD for a while, it becomes clear how the carnal mind and common sense can be a barrier to understanding the ways of GOD. To be clear, by common sense, I am referring to popular ideas regarding what is sensible. I am not speaking of good-sense. I have seen in religious circles, as well as the world abroad, where sheer non-sense becomes popular, therefore common, while it doesn’t make good sense at all. My point is that to commune with GOD, your mind must be renewed. You must let go of old ways of thinking to allow the mind to bend in new ways to receive the principles of GOD, which are often counter-intuitive
In my meditations over the last couple of days, I have been thinking about how we must trust GOD and be comfortable with unknowns. Those who walk with GOD must learn to live in certainty, while in the midst of the unknown. Our Father in Heaven promises us that all things will work out for our good if we will trust Him. We have to be comfortable not knowing the details of the “how”. This shouldn’t be that hard for us since our lives were conceived outside of our influence. We didn’t choose our parents, our ethnicity, our birth dates, our gender, or were we would touch down on earth. These unknowns were orchestrated by our Heavenly Father, also called “The Alpha and The Omega”, the beginning and the end. Our journey began with Him and our journey will conclude with Him. Even the part in the middle is filled with sign post which point to Him, because He is life. I love watching wild life, as well as the seasons coming and going. Without man, and all his thinking and calculating, these things have a sustainability and harmony by design of the Creator. They seam to only suffer disruption as a result of man acting beyond the reach of his understanding in an effort to take control of his life. A life plagued with disruptions.
In whatever unknowns you find your self in, be certain of the fact that your Father GOD loves you and has a plan for your life. Trust Him with the completion of the journey and just ask Him to help you with the next step, and then after you take that step, seek Him for the next, and so on. What you will find is that including GOD daily in the steps makes the journey more fulfilling than the destination. This method of advancing daily, while keeping your eyes on GOD, is filled with peace and joy. Whereas, obsessing over just getting through to the destination is wrought with stress and fear. Tough times are unpleasant, but they can be very rewarding if we will go through them with our eyes on GOD, getting to know Him better through the things He would have us learn through the steps of the journey. In the end we come to understand that the storms suit us. And like our Father, we learn to where dark clouds as a glorious garment. The unknown is just another blank page waiting to be filled in your book of exploits with GOD. Lean on Him, trust in Him, and walk with Him, through your unknowns.
