Keeping It Real

There was a time in my life when I walked in darkness, living according to the imaginations of my own heart; living according to my own reasoning. Like any person stumbling around in darkness, I would often injure myself and sometimes injure others.  To further complicate things, there was an adversary setting traps of destruction for me. Like a beast in the wild, I navigated by my senses; sight, smell, taste, sound, and touch. My main inspirations were lust and fear. This made me pretty vulnerable to the wiles of my adversary: the devil. By the grace of Yahweh, the devil was not allowed to destroy me. When I had suffered enough, I started looking for answers beyond myself. I turned to the voice that was most consistent and enduring through out my life, the voice of God. Yahweh had been sending me invitations of Love the whole time, however I had to learn the futility of my own ways first before surrendering to His divine parental instructions. Through the voices of angels, Yahweh’s messengers (this could be anyone or anything that brought me a message from God), I was led to the cross of Yeshua the Savior. The cross of Yeshua is the ordained place of exchange where those called of God lay down their carnal lives and begin to live by the light of the spirit of God. Let me say here that all spiritual living is not equal. The spirit of Yahweh is the only light of Life in all of reality. The bible says the devil himself can transform into an angel of light, just like he did in the wilderness when he was trying to tempt Yeshua using the holy scripture in a diabolical way. The bible warns us against spiritual wickedness. Spiritual wickedness is the realm of those that acknowledge that they are spiritual however they refuse to submit to the true light of Yahweh and go about trying to establish their own reality in rebellion. This is what the scripture refers to when it says,” Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.”
Yeshua, the express image of the creator, the heart of Yahweh manifest in a physical being. The scripture calling Yeshua, “The Word of God made flesh.” Yeshua made this proclamation of Himself with Yahweh bearing witness with signs and wonders, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one reaches the Father but by me.” This means all that pertains to life and reality are found inside Yeshua. Yeshua is reality and everything outside of Him is false and and darkness. When I accepted the invitation to enter into Yeshua through the cross, I stepped into reality. I began to see things in the Light of Truth. Here are a few scriptures that I found foundational for life. They have brought me great peace and order as I have embraced them.
Proverb 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Psalm 127:1
Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
John 14:6
Yeshua said, “I AM the Way — and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me.
Matt 7:14
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
I refuse to go beyond the edge of reality for anyone or anything. Yeshua taught that if you love anyone or anything more than Him you are not worthy of Him. To accept or agree with things I know are not true and real would be idolatry.  It would not only be idolatry, it would also be insanity. It makes no sense to try having or holding onto things that are not real. Things that are not in agreement with the Word of God.  Like trying to sustain life on a  diet of foods that taste good but have no nutritional value, so also is living a carnal life outside of Yeshua, the Christ. This is really what it means to keep it real.
